Susan teaches a specific technique for precision binding. This method was recommended by a teacher who also trained as a quilt judge. Please have your binding fabric strip joined on the bias and pressed in half lengthwise.

Based on the pattern called "Tricks or Treats" your choice of projects can be completed. Make just the pumpkin with the star eyeball, or a row with two pumpkins and pinwheels, or the whole quilt.

Athena is an amazing quilt! It has stars that are not completed as stars. There is a square surrounded by strips. The square is then cut into strips and rearranged. When it is sewn back together the star is created by the pointed corners of four squares. This technique is a must to add to your knowledge base! Zoe is made in a similar fashion. So, it doesn't matter if you want to make Zoe or Athena.

This class will teach the curved piecing technique using a 7" template which includes the pattern. An optional 3 1/2" template can add interest to the quilt making small circles in a square block, but leaving it as a square piece looks fine.
