The blocks include: Evening Star, Friendship Star, Bear Paw, Maple Leaf, Broken Dishes, Lemoyne Star (w/o set in seams), Double pinwheel, Amish Star, a house, a barn, a tractor, and more! Log Cabin Class $40.00
- Mar 28, 2020 09:45 am

This log cabin is made from twelve 1 1/2" strip pieces that vary in length from 1" up to 7". Six of one color and six of another. A focus fabric should have some of each color and it is used as the 1" center square. The trick is in the value of the lights and darks. Choose two medium to dark colors, and then choose a much lighter value of the two. The other factor that is challenging is finding a wide variety of fabrics in the four colors. Some of the mediums can be a little lighter, but the lights need to be really light. Perhaps members of the class can share from each other's home stashes. Even enlist friends to hunt for your fabrics.
