Well, the hot weather finally arrived!  What?!  You thought we were going to be so lucky as to not have excedingly hot weather?  I guess that bubble has burst.  So, come work in our air conditioned classroom.  Quiltin' With the Quails just means sit and sew and use our tall cut table, extra wide ironing board, push our tables together to prepare a quilt for home quilting, and enjoy our company.  Even if another class is scheduled in the morning there are often afternoons available.  Call us.  209-536-4009.  We ask for $5.00 (cleaning, power costs)  I ask for $20.00 an hour for direct instruction.

WHAT?!  YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN A JELLY ROLL RUG CLASS YET!  DO THE EASIER ONE!  THIS SATURDAY!  START AT 9:30-4:00 or WHENEVER.  IT'S THE RECTANGULAR RUG.  NO SEWING AHEAD OF TIME.  YOU NEED 40-42, 2 1/2" STRIPS (A JELLY ROLL) OR CUT YOUR OWN.  YOU NEED   2 1/4" BATTING STRIPS; 50 YARDS WORTH.  A sewing machine that can make a 5.5 zig zag stitch, jeans or heavy top stitch needle (90/14 or 100/16)                                                                            


GRAFFITI - Friday, August 3rd  10:00-4:00  $35.00   FUN, FUN, FUN! SIMPLE TOO!
This has a caveman quilting aspect to it.  Optional free form cutting.  The curves are so gentle that it is like sewing a straight line.  You only need 16 Fat Quarters!  STASH BUSTER!  I love teaching this one.  Imagine it in brighter Batiks.  See the secondary star? This only has 8 fabrics;16 is better.         

Midnight Madness!  Come sew from 6:00-midnight on Sunday August 4th.  Registration is $7.50, but there is an added cost for pizza.  That is an additional $7.50.  ($15.00 total)  WHY finish those show projects alone?  Come sew with friends!  Do something unusual.  Quilt 'til you wilt!  Leave whenever you like.  I might be working on The Raven, or I'll be finishing my Bee challange.

THE RAVEN - Tuesday, August 20   10:00-4:00   $35.00  -must purchase pattern.   A copy of the large layout will be provided.  It is large chunks of paper piecing.  Three people have already signed up.   Don't miss the fun and join us.

                               The classroom will be divided, utilizing the front portion with extra tables.  We will have
                                kits available by this time using a vintage Hawaiian type fabric.  This quilt is FUN and Fast!

Christmas fabric from Windham arrived today.  It is called "Holly Jolly Christmas".  There are 5 bolts.
The Christmas Quilt kit called "Sew Merry" is behind and won't be delivered until August.
