November Newsletter from Quail's Nest Quilt Co. 2019
Here's what is happening at Quail's Nest Quilt Company in November. See the calendar at quailsnestquiltco.com
There has been a Beyond Beginning Quilt Clas for the past month and this is what the sampler quilt looks like that was created here at Quail's Nest instead of using the book, Simple Simon Patchwork Math.
Look for this class in the future, and let us know if you are interested, so that we can schedule it.
Tea Satchel class - This Saturday, November 9th. 10:00-2:00 $15.00 This is a folded pouch with pockets inside for carrying tea, sweetner,
and even packaged drinks. It closes with a magnetic snap. It makes a great holiday gift.
Precision Binding Class - Also Saturday, November 9th. 2:30-4:45 $15.00 Prepare 2.5 inch strips ahead of time. Join them on the bias and
iron them in half lengthwise.
Applique class - Friday, November 15th. 10:00-2:00 or so $25.00 Learn to fuse applique pictures to a pieced background, and complete with
a blanket stitch or zig zag.
This is an example. Ask us for help
choosing a pattern or bring one you have wanted to do.
Winter Table Runner Class - Saturday, November 16th. $20.00 Kits will be available soon for $36.99. 10:00-4:00
NEW! This is a "Quilt as You Go" method. The backing is included, but bring a 18" by 54" batting piece. Or call and
let us know that you need one, so we can prepare one.
Cactus Bloom - This is a paper pieced quilt which consists of two blocks: The Bud and the Bloom. It is scheduled for Friday, November 29th.
If you have taken it before, come again and join in the fun. The Block is $25.00 if you have not already purchased the fabric.
It is $10.00 for instruction.
Sew Merry is on Wednesday, November the 13th. It is full, but I wanted those taking it to have this reminder.
If you want a rectangular RUG class, let us know. It makes a great gift. It can be cut in forths for placemats as well. It may be taught on Saturday, November 23rd if there is interest. $25.00 plus needed supplies. Call us at 209-536-4009
Placemats and mug mats are available.
I should say they are on a panel. Border Print is also available along with matching fabric from the "Deck the Halls" fabric line by Northcott. We are showing it made into a quilt in a magazine. There is an apron as well.
The Wabi-Sabi Sewing book is available. It is the book that several members of the modern quilt Bee made their Scattered Stars quilt from, but also has many other projects.
