OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

It was a pleasure to be a part of the Drive-by Quilt Show!  The pictures, video, and feedback from customers was delightful!  The Sierra Quilt Guild did a wonderful job displaying quilts and having maps and signs available!  Susan Slope of Twain Harte won the Opportunity Quilt!
                                                                                           
                                                                          

OCTOBER 1ST - Is a class on our Block of the Month called "Blessings of Home".  We have room for one more participant.  It is the third class this Friday, but the construction is the same each month, so it is fine to start late.  10:00 until 3:00 or 3:30.  $24.00 a month for 10 months.
                                                                                   

We have a Quilt Class on Tuesdays from October 5th until November 9th.  It starts at 10:00 and goes until 12:30.  It costs $75.00 for the 5 sessions.  We have had many new quilters lately, and one was only ten years old!  Here is Katelyn's quilt top!

                                                                       

The Beyond Beginning Quilt Class is currently being held on Fridays!  10:00-2:00   It is also $75.00.  Here are their center stars!

              I DON'T HAVE A PICTURE YET, BUT SHE HAS BEEN SHOWING IT.  THERE WAS A SAMPLE IN THE QUILT SHOW!
 ALSO, "CROSSING THE POND" BY LYNN WILDER HAS A REVERSE APPLIQUE IN THE CENTER USING THE "MAYFLOWER" SHIP.  Learn this from Alice!  I will teach just the pieced block construction.
                                                                     
I AM HOLDING A CLASS ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9TH FOR THE BLOCKS IN "CROSSING THE POND"!  IT COSTS $37.50.  10:00-3:30ISH.
MORE BORDER AND BACKGROUND FABRIC HAS ARRIVED, SO I WILL BE FULFILLING MORE KITS SOON.
THE FABRIC FOR THE SHOP SAMPLE OF LYNN WILDER'S "A RIBBON RUNS THROUGH IT" ARRIVED IN AN ELEGANT GREEN CHIFFON BAG!  THIS WILL BE A BLOCK OF THE MONTH STARTING IN JANUARY.  SEE GREAT PICTURES ON "THE FAT QUARTER SHOP'S" WEBSITE.

             
OUR ANNIVERSARY IS COMING UP!  WE WILL HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 5 YEARS ON OCTOBER 22ND. HOWEVER, I AM PLANNING AN EVENT FOR LATER IN THE MONTH.  OCTOBER 28-30TH WILL BE AN ANNIVERSARY/FALL SAVINGS SPECIAL. 
SAVE YOUR QUARTERS!  THERE WILL BE ITEMS THAT MAY BE PURCHASED FOR ONLY 50 CENTS!  MORE TO COME ABOUT THIS.

A NEW ADDITION!  WE ARE NOT READY TO USE IT WITH THE PUBLIC YET.  BUT, WE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN WE ARE.                                  

NEW FABRIC KEEPS ARRIVING!  KAFFE FASSETT'S LATEST LINE IS HERE IN FAT QUARTERS AND SOME BOLTS. He has fish in some prints! And hash mark blenders...Different for him.  DO YOU KNOW WHO ANNA MARIA IS OF FREE SPIRIT FABRICS?  I HAVE MOST OF "LOVE ALWAYS, AM".
A DOG'S LIFE FROM THREE WISHES IS HERE TOO.          THERE ARE BLUE PAW, AND OTHER BLENDERS AS WELL.  CHRISTMAS FABRIC FROM MODA, LIKE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE, HOME SWEET HOLIDAYS, AND YULETIDE GATHERINGS FLANNEL as well.
OH!  THAT REMINDS ME!  ALICE KRAUS IS ALSO TEACHING A CLASS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13TH USING THE Yuletide Gatherings FLANNEL!! IT IS A LOG CABIN WITH STARS!  MORE TO COME ABOUT THIS, BUT SAVE THE DATE!
