Machine Embroidery Club Continues On!

A warm thank-you goes out to Nancy Wyllie for all of the Machine Embroidery Club leadership she has given over the past few years!  It has been enjoyable, and productive.  We hope to still see you at the meetings!  Sharon Lawrence and Sandy Stiffler-Peacock have volunteered to organize the club, and keep it moving forward.  The next meeting is on Tuesday, September 27th at 10:00-12:00 or 12:30.  This will be in the classroom at Quail's Nest Quilt Co.

Anyone who would like to attend is welcome to come, even if you have not participated before.  You just have to own an embroidery sewing machine, or are contemplating owning one.  Machines are not brought to meetings on a regular basis.  Projects and ideas are shared.  Sharon or Sandy may bring their machines to teach from, and occasionally, a sewing project may require machines.  But, that is to be discussed.

This will be a planning and overview meeting.  Ideas have been discussed, but feedback will be important.  A Mystery Quilt is one possible activity the club could engage in.  Themed blocks like Patriotic with either cream or red backgrounds is one idea.  Help with the new Luminaire may be a possibility.  Jump drives may be brought, and available in the future.  The ideas will be collected and a schedule of events for meetings will be known in advance.

There will be a sign-in sheet.  Something may be done to acknowledge birthdays.  Regrets only can be emailed to Sharon: oilpainter5233@att.net

Our hearts and prayers go out to Betsy on the passing of her husband, Dewey.  We hope to see you again soon.

Sincerely,
Susan Florez
