This class is from the Stripology Mixology 2 book. We like to call it Twisted. I'm offering this class on Saturday, March 29th here at the shop, and again in Oakdale at Blossom Quilt Shop on Saturday April 19th.

This quilt pattern has lengthwise chevrons. I have incorporated three fabrics from the "River Rhythms" fabric line plus many other Grunges, and brush stroked fabrics. My shop sample is nearly finished. The little white center dots are just my row labels and not part of the quilt. I have some kits available.

Athena is an amazing quilt! It has stars that are not completed as stars. There is a square surrounded by strips. The square is then cut into strips and rearranged. When it is sewn back together the star is created by the pointed corners of four squares. This technique is a must to add to your knowledge base! I am teaching this for the Sierra Quilt Guild. See the guild for registration of this class. I charge $40.00 for this class, but members pay $35.00 through the guild, and non-members pay $45.00.

This class will be taught by Debbie Hicks. It is a large bag with a strong bottom which can be sewn in. It is an excellent way to use large beautiful prints.

Smokey River is a 72" X 97" quilt. It will be taught and divided into 3 segments. The kit will be $57.50 per session. The lessons are basically free. The beautiful Stonehenge fabric makes this quilt stunning. It consists of two jelly rolls plus a dark brown and a green as accents. There is a blended green/gold outer border.

This class is based on what I learned from The Combat Quilter when I took the class in Oakdale at the Blossom Quilt Shop. This Lone Star is made using strip sets. 2 1/2" strips are required for its construction.

This is a 5 week class that presents the basics of quilting. The first class is all cutting, so your sewing machine is not needed. but we start to sew four patches on the second class. You will need a sewing machine that functions and you should have some knowledge of its use. Please get a hand out about what fabric and tools to use. Less expensive tools may not work as well, so be careful with your purchases. We do carry the needed supplies. We are here to help you ahead of time. This class also works for those that just want to improve upon their skills.

Susan teaches a specific technique for precision binding. This method was recommended by a teacher who also trained as a quilt judge. Please have your binding fabric strip joined on the bias and pressed in half lengthwise.

This class has been recently updated. During this 6 week course a sampler quilt will be made. Approximately two blocks will be introduced each week.
