Autumn has arrived and so has the season of quilt shows.  The Sierra Quilt Guild's show at the fairgrounds was quite lovely.  I tried the "Quilts of Forist Lane" in Merced.  It is a very beautiful show.  Since it is outside in a custom neighborhood with grand trees, it is majestic, but at the mercy of the weather.  I had a challenge with the wind setting up, but I perservered and ended up with a good experience.  I went to "Quilting in the Garden" at the Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore on Sunday.  I really enjoyed myself.  There were inspirational quilts and booths.
I am looking forward to the Independance Hall Quilt Show October 11-13th!  The shop will be open Friday and Saturday as well as having our booth in the show at Ironstone in Murphys.  We will not have the shop open on Sunday even though we will still be vending at Ironstone.  I hope to see many of you there!  Here are some pictures from this weekend.

FUSIBLE APPLILQUE TECHNIQUE CLASS - 10:00-3:00  $25.00   Saturday, October26th.   
   This can be like a McKenna Ryan pattern, or a small wall hanging like a house from Lilac Ridge, or the Autumn Joy pattern (Dachshund) from 101 Maple Street.  We have the 4 segments of the moon from "Halloweenies" by McKenna Ryan.
             


Paper Piecing  10:00-3:30    $35.00  Wednesday, October 30th
Cactus Bloom blocks using Paper (Vellum/foundation) Piecing.  Come learn the paper piecing technique.  I also have the Forest Abstractions quilt pattern by Violet Craft.
The Raven is also the same technique.       

COLLAGE QUILT CLASS - A class is being discussed for the second week in November.  This would be for a Laura Heine collage pieced pattern.  Any of her animal or truck patterns would work.  We will send more details when a date is settled on.  It will be $25.00 and 10:00-4:00.


NEW FABRIC HAS ARRIVED.          Layer Cake: Bolts to follow.
Northcott's Premium solid black and a bolt of white is back.  I have received Stonehenge again in two shades of brown, and a light tan.  I got the Double Decker Christmas buses with a white background again.

AND A NEW KIT WHICH CAN BE A BLOCK OF THE MONTH.   "MY REDWORK GARDEN" .  Give us feedback.
