September is Here! It is very nice to enter into the Fall season. We are excited for the Sierra Quilt Guild's Quilt Show at the Sonora Fairgrounds on the 19th and 20th, and the Independence Hall Quilt Faire at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. This on October 17th, 18th, and 19th.
New projects and lines of fabric have arrived at Quail's Nest, but some of them have been put aside to display at the shows. We will debut new quilts, kits, precuts, and fabric on bolts! Come see us at these events. The shop will also remain open during the shows with a special thanks to Patty for returning to help out. I also want to thank the special people who have volunteered their time to make kits, and more! It would not be possible without them.
It is fun that a member of the Chickabees Quilting Bee is also the featured Quilter. Come see Deby Stagliano's amazing display of quilts at this years show.
The shop has new blender fabric. The light array of Grunge fabric came in. P&B fabrics sent some "Apple Cider" blenders, as well as white with cream. The "Woolies" and "Lambies" flannel are a hit, so don't miss out on these winter favorites.
The Smokey River series of classes have been filled. So, I can't promote them. :)
The "Night Flight" class is also filled for the October 7th date. Kits and patterns are still going to be available, so come in and let me know if another class date is needed.
Wanda is a class that is being offered on Tuesday, October 21st. It does not have to be with Halloween fabric. Christmas fabric works. Two basic colors is the focus for the 5" squares. It takes 100 of them! Sashing and accent fabrics are also needed. The pattern is in Stripology Mixology 2 and is featured on the cover.
$40.00 Tuesday, October 21st 10:00-3:30
Beginning Quilting will be on Tuesdays in November.
I'm looking at quilts in the Stripology Quickies book that I may want to do in the future.
